Out of all the videos I have heard. the bbi bar code exhaust looks and sounds the best to me. Makes the turbo sound exotic the way it should be. That and akra but 9k for an akra exhaust is ridiculous.

Kline decat was really nice(until I blew my turbo). Really let the engine breath also. You could feel a big difference in performance.

Has anyone tried 200 cell sport cats with the stock muffler? I'm wondering if this combination might give me the growl I'm seeking without being too aggressive. Thoughts?

Dennis, you aren't going to get enough of a tone change to merit $1500 in HJS cats..

As a side note, I am in the final production of my exhaust system for the 997.1 Turbo. 200 cell 132mm HJS cats, and large diameter free flow piping. The first system will be released as my Quiet Version>> NO drone.. My goal is to have a nice tone change, with maximum flow, and no drone. At a reasonable price. I have been testing versions of my exhaust on my car for the last YEAR..

Current and previous customers of mine do have a "special" on pre orders...

Are you doing any special engineering to avoid a CEL with the 200 cell cats??

Yes, driving it! The 100 cell cats are typically failing. The 200 cell matrix at 5" diameter has been working well. Each matrix supports 350 to 380HP and 4.5 litre engine displacement X 2..

I have the Techart exhaust fitted on mine - expensive but sounds great when you step on it.

Hard to say without hearing it in person... Exhaust sound preference is obviously a very subjective thing. An exhaust that one person thinks is too loud might sound perfect to the next person. The stock 997 TT exhaust is almost loud enough for me, but not quite. I'd like a little more sound, maybe a little more "burble and snap" but no drone, not too much noise, etc. That was the reason for my question...

I'm with you, Dennis. I'm patiently waiting for Kevin, because I'm hoping his system will fill the void where the EP Quiet vacated.

Just had the Europipe EP-1 installed recently. I'm very pleased with the new sound and performance. It has a deeper tone, the turbo's seem to spool faster and the performance has improved. It's tough to find an exhaust system that can make the 997 turbo sound good and I think this one does it.

Here we go...before it grows to 10 pages and gets ugly, my suggestion is a Tubi. Very nice sound, raspy & 930- like, excellent build quality too.
