Ethanol Free Gas (Super...)
A lot of the postings lately have been about exhaust, so I would like to get this fuel system discussion started and maybe we (I) can learn something new?
I am not a fan of the 10% (more?) Ethanol in the fuel we get in the US. I am really not sure about the affect of the alcohol on the fuel sytem the fuel economy, etc.
I have access to Ethanol Free Gas for most of my cars. And that is all that I buy. A few of my cars have never seen anything but Ethanol Free fuel since new. It is hard for me to quantify any reiability, fuel economy, or performance advantages, but...it makes me feel better...COMMENTS?
There is also this website and Mobile App that can help you find an Ethanol free station near you: http://pure-gas.org/

I'd still rather have 93 octane and a little alcohol. In fact, the alcohol levels are much closer to 5% than 10%.
But, hell yes, wish I could buy 93 ethanol free. If only 91 available....then I'd do what you're doing and buy the corn free 91.
Bottom line, modern Porsches, are built for the ethanol. Older 911's........not so much. By older, I mean 964 and 930 and older. 993, 996, 997, 991 are all fine.

Accidentally found a Shell station just outside Wilmington NC that had ethanol free V-Power premium. Was running close to empty and don't usually use Shell, so put a whole tank in.
Did not notice any difference in mpg or power.

I am interested in details of this subject as well .
My car is tuned for E85 only , and with all the negative I here about gas with just 10% ethanol it makes me wonder what damage can be done using 85% ethanol ?

Down here it's called "REC" fuel. It's 90 octane no ethanol. I have used it many times but can't really tell any difference. Mostly used on Recreational vehicles, boats stuff like that.

Todd at protomotive said the stock fuel line and pump are more then sufficient to run 100% E85 on our 997 turbos. all you need to run E85 is bigger injectors, 5 bar FPR, and maybe new spark plugs...

You guys running E85, does it lower your internal engine temps due to the increased fuel rate flow?
