Default Porsche 997.1 Turbo Upgraded w/ GMG Turbos, Exhaust, Headers, Suspension

Porsche 997.1 Turbo Upgraded w/ GIAC Software, GMG Turbos, Exhaust, Headers, Suspension, HRE Wheels

GMG 997.1 Exhaust System

The GMG Porsche 997.1 Turbo exhaust system increases overall performance and enhances the exhaust sound. Hand crafted out of T304 Stainless steel and meticulously TIG welded to AWM aerospace specifications with great precision, the system is lighter than the factory system and exudes a level of quality that is unsurpassed. Weighing in at 37 pounds, the GMG Porsche 997 Turbo exhaust system is 20 percent lighter than the factory system.

The system features OBD2 compliant German made 200 cell sport catalysts with proper 02 sensor placement to ensure no CEL (Check Engine Light) and a proprietary crossover x-pipe to increase power by balancing exhaust gas pulse coming from the engine and adds to the signature sound that only the GMG WC system can offer.

Our proprietary crossover x-pipe works by balancing the exhaust pulses from either side — or cylinder bank – of the engine. It allows the exhaust to flow down the path of least resistance while speeding up exhaust velocity. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. While always producing more power than the restrictive factory system. Exhaust speed is increased as the engine revs increase. The X-Pipe merges the exhaust into two uniform streams, allowing a smooth flow from engine to exhaust exit.

Stainless steel packing is used our mufflers to withstand extreme exhaust temperatures and high intensity acoustic pressures that are generated by the forced induction system that is located within very close proximity due to its rear engine configuration. This is one of the key advantages of the GMG exhaust system since most other exhaust systems uses fiberglass packing instead to lower costs, and they are prone to rapid deterioration.

The exhaust system is a direct bolt on replacement for the factory system.

Features:

- Horsepower and Torque Increased up to 25hp without software upgrade

- Deep aggressive exhaust notes at lowers revs & exotic high pitched exhaust notes at higher revs

- No unwanted cabin drone.

- Constructed out of US Made 304 Stainless steel

- Hand built in the USA

- Each system is individually serialized with laser etched badge

- Meticulously TIG welded throughout to aerospace specifications.

- Signature Brushed Finish and Quad tip design.
.
- Significant weight savings over the stock system.

- Propriety Crossover center section with X pipe design

- OBD2 compliant German made 200 cell sport catalysts; No CEL (Check Engine Light)

- Stainless steel packing used in mufflers

- Direct bolt on replacement; All hardware and clamps included

– Requires no modification to vehicle

- System does not require any software tuning

GMG 996 and 997.1 Turbo Headers

The GMG sport exhaust manifold set for the Porsche 997 Turbo offers a larger primary runner with a racing 3 into 1 collector to allows for quicker turbo spool up and reducing turbo lag associated with the restrictive stock manifold set.

To prevent premature cracking or warping, the GMG manifolds are meticulously TIG welded using is made of the highest quality T304 stainless tubing and laser cut flanges. Helping to reduce heat and to direct more exhaust energy to the turbochargers, thicker 0.180 T304 stainless tubing is used versus standard thin wall stainless.

The GMG sport exhaust manifold set for the Porsche 997 Turbo is designed to work with the factory Turbo Chargers as a bolt-on replacement.

- Large primary runner with a 3 into 1 collector

- T304 stainless tubing 0.180 thick

- Laser cut flanges

- Meticulously TIG welded and to ensure years of use without cracking

GMG Porsche 997 Turbo Lowering Springs

The GMG WC lowering springs improves the vehicle's performance, handling, and appearance.

The kit features an increased spring rate and drops the vehicle by 1" to lower the center of gravity of the vehicle to improve handling - reducing squat during acceleration, body roll in corners, and excessive nose-dive under braking - and to reduce fender gap to give the vehicle a lower, more aggressive stance.

The GMG WC lowering springs utilizes a proprietary progressive spring design to maintain excellent ride quality. The progressive rate design uses a softer initial spring rate for excellent ride quality and a stiffer final rate for high performance handling. The spring rate increases when the vehicle is under load during cornering, braking, or load carrying etc.

Crafted from a high quality steel, the springs will not set or sag over time. The GMG WC lowering springs is designed and manufactured by Eibach exclusively for GMG. Through the partnership, we developed lowering spring kits for high performance street applications using the data and knowledge gained over the years from professional racing in the ALMS and Pirelli World Challenge series.

The GMG WC lowering spring kit is sold as a complete set and is designed to use with the factory dampers. The spring rates are proprietary to GMG and they are specifically matched to the factory dampers so that the vehicle won't be over-sprung and under-dampened or vice versa.

As a great alternative to much more expensive and much more complicated coilover systems, the GMG lowering spring kit is an excellent set up for enthusiasts who would like to lower their car and improve handling without compromising comfort.

GMG Porsche 997 Turbo Sway Bars

The GMG WC adjustable sway bar upgrade kit for the Porsche 997 Turbo helps reduce body roll during fast cornering and to fine-tune the handling balance.

The World Challenge anti-roll bar features front and rear hollow tube anti-roll bars that are 3 way front and 3 way rear adjustable. The rear bar offers an increase in stiffness and utilizes urethane bushings to increase responsiveness. These bars are a must have for anyone who is tracking their Porsche 997 Turbo or simply wants to improve the handing during spirited driving on the streets.

The World Challenge anti-roll-bar is designed and manufactured by Eibach exclusively for GMG. Through the partnership, we developed anti-roll bar kit for a high performance street application using the data and knowledge gained over the years from professional racing in the ALMS and SCCA World Challenge series. The result is the improvement in the handling of your vehicle without costing thousands of dollars like the bladed racing versions that we run on our race cars.

The GMG WC anti-roll bar kit is sold as a complete kit and is a true bolt on upgrade that requires no modifications to your vehicle and works with the standard sway bar drop links and dampers or any aftermarket damper such as Moton, JRZ or Ohlins.

• Improves Handling and Reduces Body-Roll
• Perfectly Balanced for Optimum Neutral-Steering Handling and Precise Turn-In Response
• Manufactured by Eibach to proprietary GMG specifications
• Precision Hi-Tensile Steel Alloy, Cold-Formed, Tempered and Shot-Peened for Long-Lasting Performance and Durability
• Precision Forged Ends and OEM Style Pressed Bushing Locaters (No Welding Or Weak Points Here)
• Urethane Bushings For Increased Responsiveness

I'm strongly considering the GMG springs. Can anyone give some first hand opinions on them for use as a daily driver? How 'bout anecdotal track performance?

Recently I worked on a 7.1TT with same exact suspension components from GMG. Once the engine repairs were done, I took the car for a final road test and data logging. During the test drive I was absolutely impressed with the suspension set up. Having installed every off-the-shelf lowering springs as well as coilover kits, I find GMG springs SPOT ON. Very easy comparison to H&R springs, the GMG springs do not display "typical" lowering spring draw backs. No bouncing, no bottoming out. Car felt very composed, planted. Not too low, just enough drop, classy stance. No bump steer, or toe steer symptoms. Comfortable. Since that day, having one on one experience with the suspension set up from GMG, I am recommending this combo to my customers who are seeking to tighten the suspension but not wanting to spend too much money.

Good work guys!
