new member intro
Good morning - I'm a new member to Rennlist and to the Porsche family. Thought I'd write a post and introduce myself. Tomorrow evening, I take receipt of my first 997 Turbo which is a 2009 997 Turbo Cabriolet. I'm super psyched and excited for it to arrive. I've been part of the car community for well over 15 years as someone who has stood more on the sidelines than in the spotlight. I look forward to contributing and exposing my kids and friends to this great world.

Thank you all for the kind notes. I actually got word that the car might arrive tonight so I'll be posting pics either later tonight or tomorrow. Super excited.

I hear you but since the very first day I drove my brand new 1982 Mustang GT off the lot, nothing has come close to that excitement. I have had a 993S which was my first Porsche, a 964 RS America and now a 997TT. That is my favorite car but nothing like that Mustang. I am always searching for that feeling but its not the same. I am extremely happy with my TT and your are going to love it! It's by far the best 911 I have had period. Enjoy your new car

Ha! My first car was a 1986 Mustang 2.0 I had in college. Yellow w. red interior. Talk about a sheep in wolf's clothing. Definitely a "momentum" car. 80mph was not possible in that thing.
