What could be causing the copper to be on the higher side and have you had a repeat analysis done to see where that number is?

997TT has two fuel pumps= two fuses. 996TT one pump = one fuse..

C2 email me your report.. I'll take a look at it for you.

They are now recommending the Motorcycle Mobil 1 VTwin oil for Porsche aircooled engines. It is a GREAT oil and reverses the metal wear numbers! I have seen it. The problem for us is>> the viscosity is 10 points to high since it is a 20W50 oil.
There is a new viscosity for Valvoline VR1 syn, that oil has a ZDDP level of 1300/1440 PPM it seems and should be perfect for our cars, thoughts ?

May try that. My 964 turbo used Valvoline the entire time, engine and turbo were in great shape after 140k miles.

I believe Valvoline VR1 5W50 could be just what we need.
In my search I stumbled on this test :
http://www.animegame.com/cars/Oil%20Tests.pdf
Look how well the Valvoline semi-syn performed. (and how poor MOBIL1 for that matter)
The full-syn VR1 5W50 high ZDDP level should be much better still and should outperform them all !?

I drove a lot this year... And the results look good. Switched to M1 5W-40 TDT at Kevin's recommendation, see how the engine responds. This is what came back after 7,000 miles on M1 0W-40:

Ilko, I am confused. Did you actually switch to 5W40 TD? The Blackstone report notes 0W40 too. Thanks.

I ran the 0W-40 up until this oil change. Just switched to 5W-40 TDT. Next analysis will show it.

Thanks for posting Ilko !
Looks like 0-40 Mobil1 is a good oil for our engine after all.
And it also shows it's unnecessary to change oil at 3000 miles.
Take it to 9000 miles seems good advice looking at those numbers. Looks like you drained 'like new' oil

Heres mine, just got a week or so ago. Oil had around 6500 miles on it.
Mobile 1 0w40. Well see how it looks next time with the Motul oil.

Nice !!
What stands out for me is the quality of the oil. They guesstimate looking at the sample you did 3600 miles while you did almost the double.
These reports clearly show modern synthetic oils last a long, long time.
I bet 12000 miles is not a problem.

What type of MOTUL oil did you use Jerry ?
