Default Adding HP to my 997 Turbo 2007

Hey guys,

this is what i'm doing:

- Fabspeed HOT air intake is coming out and it's for sale

-Today i decide to install the used Fabspeed version 2 with HJS, German imported sports racing 200 cell high flow sport catalytic converters. I know is not the best exhaust but it's not too laud and reduced backpressure allows more power and vastly improved sports car sound, i'm just a lucky Marine who saved some good money to buy my 997 TT 2007, i can't afford Europipe, Tubi, etc

-Tomorrow i'm getting my Softronic ECU Flash.

Do you guys think i can get 550 hp more or less?

By the way we had to take the intercoolers down because the studs were all rusted so we had to cut them....

Understand you are on a budjet. I'd say if you are a runnaway train and feel the need to make a move then just put the used jims muffler on the car and don't put any tune in yet for at least a week of solid driving. That way you should be able to get a full handle on whether the exhaust has done anything beyond making a bit of extra noise and giving a tad better throttle response from the get go. For all you know you may find the system gives you a headache like it has for certain other users....lets hope not for your sakes.

Btw not sure if your car is a tip or manual. If it's manual just be careful popping a tune in without giving consideration to the clutch. Chances are it will slip at wot and there goes the flywheel.....another expense. If it slips then the tune is a waste of money becasue you cant really enjoy the benefits anyway until you do the clutch. Ive always maintained the best sequence of events is get a decent exhaust on first and it will solve the majority of problems in one swoop.
This is where I found the EP and although it cost me $$$ it did a number of things even though i ate the tubi $$ to get to that stage. After i stuck it on i didn't even feel the need to tune the car for months....

Crazy thing when i did the tune the clutch slipped straight away at wot so wasted my money there and wound up taking it out until i did my clutch...

Btw i see the muffler is a dual can.. It may be one of their earlier systems which was a take off of the old tubi two can....so may not drone too bad as Chris said his didn't..

When fs first introduced the version 2, IA automotive dynod it on line at 421hp at the wheels. 395hp stock, do a search here on 6sp.
Also ask softronics to set all your emissions settings "ready", that way u won't have a hassle w yearly smog tests.
FS, I had it, I found it a little loud and could drone at times. The price is right though.....
Tune, exhaust and bmc filter should have you in the 530-555 range.

I'm in Florida we don't have yearly smog test. The price for the fabspeed version 2 was really good because i bought it from a friend for $1550

Do you think i should get the BMC filter before i read my software or i can just add it anytime after i get the new tune?

530 hp -550 hp it's actually pretty good!!! i knew 615 hp was horse ****! but if i can get 530 hp up to 550hp, i be really happy... i'm not Speedracer so i don't really need 800hp and i can't even afford it lol

The Turbo S has 530 HP so is the GT2 997 right? all i need is enough power to destroy the Nissan GTR and the Ferrari 458

I already drove the car from Miami to Pompano Beach, from Pompano Beach to Homested (total of 100 miles) and the car is fine and it feels a lot strongger!

Next step

I just pick up the BMC filter in Champeon Motorsport so I be working in the car for the next hour
