Default Help: New TPMS not working

Hi Guys,
Need help. I bought 4 new TPMS sensors from tpms direct.com
Had them installed yesterday , drove about 20 miles but sensors are not working .
Any ideas?
I had reset it with the on board control stalk .
Thanks.

TPC still reads inactive.

Try over inflating tires about 5 to 8 psi and drive for min 20 minutes and it should recogonize and then while car is still running adjust down to prefered psi and all should be ok.

The new ones were orange.
The old ones were white.
I specifically gave tpmsdirect.com my chasis # VIN.

Like dianic said make sure the old ones are not in or near the car, when my car was finished the shop tech asked if I wanted my old ones back and initially I said yes but when he told me that my system would not work because the old ones are still sending a weak signal so I left them. I drove for an hour on the highway before mine activated.

As soon as you leave the location of the "extra" sensors, the sensors in the tires should work just fine. I have an extra set of wheels with TPMS hanging in the garage and I've never had a problem with the sensors in the mounted tires.

But the ones in your other wheels are working correctly, when I changed mine two of them were not working correctly and if I would have taken them with me the system would still been receiving a signal from a TPM sensor that was not working correctly and it would not have registered the good ones because of the bad ones.

A good independent tire shop (or Porsche) should have a device which can read and reset any TPMS system. Try one of them to see if they are even sending out the signal on the right frequency for your car. I am suspecting that that is the issue. The device can also check for battery life remaining and etc.

Else, if they are under warranty ask for your money back or at least contest it through you credit card. They should be working by now (especially if you tried that 5 PSI over the recommended setting as that resets it in seconds).

Yes but once you're out of range of the static TPMS sensors, the ones in your wheels will read correctly...assuming they are working correctly. I don't carry uninstalled TPMS sensors in the car where they could interfere with the installed sensors.

I chucked away the old ones immediately after the new ones were installed so as not to confuse the sensors.
I had also reset the on-board system. But still not working.
I e-mailed tpmsdirect.com and they said they will send me reply after checking with their supplier.
TPC inactive flashes everytime I start the car, followed by a flat tire warning.
