I do not think that any discounts will be given for a few years. Too many buyers. The 2005 Turbo S was also a low production car. 500 total, 250 US bound and 95 of those were coups.

yes robert, but they made tons of 2001-2003 cars. 2003, you could get an easy 10k deduction. we will see what we will see.

Really, in 2003 they were discounting cars? Then, by 2008 the 997TT should be a little cheaper.

robert-i was paying $1400/month, tax included, no money down, 12k miles/year, for a new 2003tt for 39 months. my lease ended 1 month ago-my discount off msrp was $12000. it was winter, and the dealer had plenty of 996tt's. it will happen again (the discounts, but probably not those lease prices, as most lenders won't let the residuals get that high again.)

yeah-but that was in 2003, the 3rd year that the 996tt was out. all the people who got their's in 2001 paid full msrp. nothing new.

Still, I've never paid retail for a car before. Guess its all supply and demand. That reall hurts my resale if i want to get rid of this car in 3 years if dealers are taking $10k off on new ones, right?

No, not really, once you factor in the $50K depreciation.

Dealer called me to say they were getting an allocation of at least 2 TT per
mo and I could get a car in Jan/Feb. Now to ask about discount and delivery of the S TT.
