Speed Yellow
I am thinking of trading my Basalt Black s for Speed Yellow.1) Would that be a mistake and 2) is Speed Yellow much harder to turn around and sell rather then Black. Thanks for the comments.

I don't know about resale value but I went out on a limb and bought SY and absolutely love it. Even lightly salted from the snow removal efforts, ot looks great.
It's really not that 'loud' of a yellow,...more of a mellow yellow. Add the SY seat belts on a full black leather interior for a nice sporty look.

I have always driven black cars...one time I went out on a limb and bought a red 3000GT. I have never been pulled over more times by the cops. I cannot tell you how much time I spent in traffic court...it was flat out absurd.
I had always been warned against bright colored sports cars...I did not believe it until I lived it. I have since then only bought black...I still end up in traffic court but no where near as often!
Many of my friends would never by a yellow car...so if a lot of people feel that way I presume it would have to affect resale.

Bet they will be a bitch to clean !!!! (Switched to Carrera Classic on my latest 997C4S - as opposed to Sport Design on my previous 97C2S - for this very reason!)

IMO speed yellow would look great on a 997tt( or any other Porsche) , it's all a matter of taste. While I'm on the subject of taste I'm sorry to say but the new wheels are just bland ( would look better on a honda civic ). As was previously mentioned Porsche could have came up with a better wheel design to bring out such a beautiful car. note to self: first mod...WHEELS

The wheels look like they belong on, oddly enough, a Mitsubishi 3000GT or something comparable.....I cannot stomach them either, and they'd be the first thing I would change.
Speed Yellow is a very safe choice for resale. Don't be worried.....it'll sell faster than black and for a little more money as time eventually passes.........
It's one of my personal all time favorite P-car colors. I've never had a car in stock with that color stay longer than a month either.

I have owned all of the varios Porsche colors (Silver, red, black yellow) and now have speed yellow and the color is awesome looking. I only have to wash my car once every two or three weeks. It always looks clean.

SY is pretty easy to keep clean, and always looks nice.
Obiviously Yellow is not for everyone, but I don't think any of the standard colors will affect the resale value. If it were a paint-to-sample or some one-off odd ball color then yes, it could potentially affect the value.

OBTW, I don't know if its because I use Mcguires soap (which smells teriffic) or because my car is speed yellow, but my car is like a bug magnet.
Anyone else with SY have a similar problem??
