I weighed my 997.1 GT3 this weekend and it was 3,225 lbs with a little over a 1/2 tank of gas in it. Porsche lists the car at 3,075 but that must be with no fluids.

I'd like to get it down close to 3,100 if possible without chopping it up and ruining it as a street car or doing anything that's not reversible.

Currently it has the following weight saving items:
- GMG center muffler delete (still has side mufflers)
- Recaro SPG XL seats with steel side mounts and recaro sliders with GMG seat base plates
-18" CCW C10 wheels with 245/315 Pirelli DH

Things that add weight installed:
- OEM club sport back half roll cage
- Schroth harness

Off the top of my head I'm thinking, lightweight battery, less gas, removing pass seat. Any other ideas for weight removal without taking drastic measures like ripping out the interior, HVAC, stereo?

my car is about 3100 wet/near full tank. keep in mind my car is a 0 spec with light headlights, no washers.

Weight reduction/adds:
recaro seats with aluminum side mounts
roll bar + harnesses (ADD)
lighter wheels
full suspension (all aluminum monoball, lighter than stock)
light battery
remove tools
radio delete, no cupholder
no side mufflers, stock center muffler
brembo rotors, aluminum hats (PCCB sizing, my car had PCCB)
Bbi titanium exhaust tips
near empty washer tank
light flywheel

for me side mufflers are heavy, not sure how much but guess would be around 25lb each side. Seats are also heavy. i think doing both of those alone would get you to the 3100 mark.

This. For weight reduction get rid of side mufflers.

Would side muffler delete with GMG center bypass be too loud? I don't have my stock center muffler anymore.

I forgot I use heavy one piece steel rotors too, going to a $$$ 2 piece aluminum hat rotor would probably save some weight.

I had tools/compressor in frunk as well as glovebox, center console and both doors full of crap too. Won't make much difference but every bit helps.

It may be on the loud side, I do not have direct experience on that but was told that most of the side muffler action is to tone down the drone... I was about to switch to side bypass but hold on into that as w/o rear muffler car is pretty loud...

Maybe some of the folks here can provide an insight on this.

Breaks will definitely help, moreover as it is rotating mass so effect shall be more relevant than same weight reduction on the suspended mass.

if you delete all 3 mufflers you are going to hate yourself. good chance you also wont pass sound at tracks like sonoma/thill. i had headers + both mufflers + sw bypass and didn't pass at thill or sonoma

the trick setup is cap the actuator pipes, remove the side mufflers, put on side bypass.

a SW pipe with headers and stock sides is louder than headers, side bypass, and stock center.

I pass at TH no problem with cup headers, stock center, BBI side delete pipes.

AND it weighs less.

Battery. Most Oem batteries are around 42lbs. You can find good Lithium ones around 7lbs.

Factory my car had 3 options. Nav, Sport chrono, PCCB.

what does capping the actuator pipes do, keep the center always closed? i thought about side deletes but got worried from what I read about the center muffler failing prematurely. i'd love to get ri of the sides though
