997.2 GT3 prices?
Haven't been following the prices lately on 997.2 GT3s. Seem to be very few for sale. Seemed as if their value increased w/ the release of the 991 GT3 due to lack of manual. Now that news of the '18 GT3s having manuals is out, have the prices moved up or down?

They've been in the $100-125K range for the past 3 years depending on options, condition, and mileage. If anything, I've seen list prices inch up a bit, but that doesn't mean that actual selling prices have gone up.
With regards to the new GT3, where I see the market softening is not with 997s, but 991-1 GT3s. Those are the ones that will drop in price first. The way I see it is this:
996 GT3: $60-85K
997-1 GT3: $80-110K
997-2 GT3: $100-125K
991-1 GT3: $140-160K
991-2 GT3: MSRP $144K, decently optioned $160K out the door.
If you look at the above list there is a decent sized gap between the 997-2 and 991-1 cars. My hunch is that this gap will close quickly once 991-2 cars are readily available to order and drive off the lot. And Porsche most certainly will sell more of these cars than even the 991-1 version.

Agree with Ilko. 991.1 GT3 will take the biggest blow. And I believe the 991R will take a beating.
997.2 GT3 will prob stay the same for the time being, until we see how the 991.2 RSR block performs.
It will likely come down to demand in the 100-120k range. There are inherently more buyers that sit in this market vs the 150-200k market, where the 991.2 GT3 will probabaly sell for given the dealer mark up.
Have you noticed the 991.2 GT3 has attributes from the 997.2 GT3/RS car? Seems Porsche knows they hit a home run with that and are trying to grab that audience.

Porsche needs to step up and make an announcement about the 991.1 engines. Those E and F engine cars will be a tough sell once close to end of warranty. With an extended coverage from Porsche I wouldn't mind buying one. Without, no chance I'll touch one.
997 Mezger engines are pretty much bullet prof. Get the coolant lines done and you have a car for life.
