Default 32k miles. High?

Looking at a well maintained 997.1 GT3 (dealer). It has 30k miles. Educate me a little, too high? I'm coming from the air cooled world mostly, so have no real experience with the amazing GT3.....I'm leaning quickly.

If DME checks out and servicing is solid...is that mileage ok. I plan to put about 2k per year on it over the next few years until I trade in.

Scratch the above. Been working on a much lower mileage car too, looks like we can make a deal. Great seller to boot.

To answer your question, no 32k miles is not high. It isn't collector low or anything and it will be considered slightly high for the ones currently for sale. I think a lot of guys with 40k + 997 GT3s hang onto them because it isn't worth it to sell those right now imo.

I don't think so. I saw a 2010 Black GT3 that was certified at Porsche North Houston - really nice car. It has 26k miles, PCCB, owned at one point by former RL'r. And I just bought a GT3 RS with 29k miles. I wanted a higher mileage car so I didn't feel guilty about putting the miles on. Guilt free!

Also, the 2010 has the dynamic engine mounts. Really cool.

High mileage only to the "investment" / bubble wrap crowd. Sold mine with 32K and it was flawless. Still running strongly and will for years to come. These cars fare best when driven.

It's a piece of ****. They blow up after 10k.

At 2k / yr you should be looking at bubble wrap examples.

The more miles, the more smiles for prior owner.
He/She who dies with the most miles driven in a gt3, wins.

Not at all if well maintained. Might have proper upgrades as well (RS flywheel, LSD, fixed coolant lines etc...) Lower miles demand higher premium for collector status. But at the end of the day performance is the same. It all depends on your needs. Garage queen or not, on the budget or not. GL

Mine has 37k, was a daily driver for a guy in Phoenix. Not one leak, runs amazing and is super tight. As long as you have a history that you trust don't sweat it. Tracked cars are much different when it comes to what the mileage actually means.

I have driven 20k on mine since purchased ~3 years ago. Baby last 1 year = near 0 miles. in 6 more months she will be able to get in and i'll be able to drive it again at approx ~10k a year. W/ my Turbo (more like a gt2rs w mods i had) i logged 80k miles in 8 years. In Cayenne s i have logged 10k +.I do drive my porsche's not garage them like most. On avg i drive my Porsche's 10k a year. Not bad.
