Car is here! Really different drive than the 991 RS. Love it.

Can't figure out how to get the photos straight.

Best GT3 RS ever made!
How you would describe it vs 991 RS?

I have both. Love the 7RS and, unless I were chasing track time records, would keep it over 1RS. Biggest differences are overall size, 3 pedals (obviously), sound, mechanical feel, and steering feel. The steering seals the deal for me - as accurate as the electric steering is, you feel a bit removed by comparison.

Congratulations on the car. You won't be diappointed.

I agree. I plan on tracking the car, so I wanted something with more of a raw feel and a MT. The usual 997 vs. 991 comments would apply - the 991 RS felt more comfortable, easier to drive. Steering less engaging. I will say that the 997 buckets are easier to get out of than the 991 buckets. I do miss the 991s door pocket for sun glasses.

That's awesome! Enjoy your new toy. I lust for that engaged driving experience with a Porsche GT3, that's why I passed on a 991 GT3 after I test drove one. Went out and bought a track ready 996, but man, these RS cars are making me want to buy one! They look so dam good.

Congrats, the 997 are the last of the line for quite a few people for good reason. The newer 991's seem to be a temporary itch and sold for the newest one in the pipeline.

I traded my 991 GT3 to my 997 RS, but a 991 RS to a 997 RS, now that is interesting.

My car is your twin!

Well put. Agreed 100%.

Cautiously optimistic with 991.2 GT3 w/6-speed, but I have a feeling I'll be back in a 997 GTx of some sort again.

Congrats OP! I understand how you feel.

Good move. I let go of my barney and never looked back. It'll never give me the same level of engagement as my 997.2RS. Long term, mark my words, you'll come out ahead in both dollars and smiles with the 997.
