Default Pccb help

Hey guys I'm about to be cleaning up and fixing the chips on my pccb calipers that came off a 2007 gt3. I noticed the rear's had some damper pads that are shot and need to be replaced but the fronts did not have any, are these necessary? Tried searching but having a hard time finding info. If I need them anyone have the part numbers and where is the best place to buy them?

They're only there as heat shield to your ceramic pucks. Can go without since the pucks are often replaced with caliper rebuilds anyways.

Is that what they are for? I always thought they were just noise dampers....

Same here. Although I have a Turbo, my salesman told me that Porsche no longer says they are required when I bought new pads. I've been running without them...

Not that I can tell. In both configs they squeaked once and a while but I rinse the rotors and it's fine for a bit.

I have a 2007 with PCCB and I don't use them.
