How was it used, how maintained, who serviced it, are there records. If tracked- in addition to coolant lines, differential - how are wheel bearings, any play in control arms, have axles been placed. If tracked these become wear items and can be a nasty surprise bill. The factory diff doesn't last very long- the Gard unit is the better one to have if tracked.

Check to ensure all factory recalls were completed too. My high mileage RS has been a real sweetheart to me, and garnered heavy praise when I had the PPI performed prior to buying...so don't be afraid of mileage alone. Good luck!

Normal PPI is all you need. Also ensure a DME scan.
Above are all good advice.

These cars don't magically explode at 45k miles. They are very robust. If car has been tracked much ensure you know the maintenance done for wear components.
