Default SPORT button question

Guys
i know this has been discussed to death but wanted the final word on whether the sports button does anything on my car but moving the exhaust flaps. It's a 2007 gt3 without PASM or any options (except PCCBs). My impression is that is doesn't do anything else aside from the exhaust flap. Can people confirm because it's left me wondering...
thanks
jason

It also changes the throttle mapping.

Doesn't add more power but brings max revs supposedly quicker.

At the Australian Porsche Driving School the lead instructor told me that he doesn't like that feature as he prefers the wider range of throttle response to find his modulation point.

all 997 have pasm.

unless you've disabled it.

sport button has a different software that turns the throttle map more aggressive. more power? no, but it opens the e-gas quicker as you move the pedal.

and the flaps.

I've no evidence its got a difference TC program.

So basically, it doesn't do much.
