GT3 vs turbo values
Brand new to Rennlist. Considering a low mileage 997 GT3 vs a 2011/2012 Turbo S. Completely different cars, but from the perspective of retained value in a year or two, what do you guys think. I suspect the GT3 will hold value better, but I thougt I'd throw the question out to folks that might know these cars better than myself.

What do you want to do with the car? Drive it everyday? Then the Turbo.

If you want a turbo investment I would look to 964, 993. If you want the most fun get a gt3, gt4, or gt3 RS.

Isn't the 09 first year of the 9A1 DFI?

Not for the turbo. It still had the Mezger engine, as well as the 997-2 interior (PCM 3.0, etc.). The exterior remained the same as previous years 997 turbos.
IIRC they skipped 2010 and then the DFI turbos were available in 2011 and 2012.
To answer the OP's question I don't think the market will change much in a year or two. Both seem to be holding their value well. Long term historically GT3s have done better.
