Default Gt3 bumper stress cracks

Found a well sorted Gt3 997.1 that's just about perfect except for front bumper. PPI discovered small stress cracks below fogs. I know these cars are low but would imagine it would take a good impact to make this happen. Thoughts?

Looks like pre-cut clear bra kit (as opposed to a custom full front wrap).

Has that bumper been repainted? Looks to me that whoever mixed the paint didn't use enough flex...

I have a pre-cut clear bra but it fits perfectly, it's nothing like those random stripes on the car above.

+1.

There were 2 issues there. Bad re-paint and worse clear bra install.

in the scheme of things, thats rather small....if it was a big hit the bumper would be gone or wrecked. so, nothing Id worry about that a few hundred dollars for a repaint won't make like brand new. Good luck withe he search - will be worth it. P.S only way to get a cars thats truly like new...is buy a new one.....and thats a lot less fun than your search :-)

Yikes, what a low quality clear bar application. Be grateful the car sold, who knows what else was done incorrectly.

FWIW: I have similar hair line cracks on my 997.1 GT3.
Cannot say what the reason is but MHO is that if the front lip touches the ground at high speed it will introduce stress on the bumper. Or driving slowly dragging the lip on the ground is probably not good in the long run - I guess these cars are starting to show their age.
