Default 997 (.1/.2) GT3 Workshop manual?

What are you guys using for a workshop manual to work on your cars?

I've searched quite a bit to find one, and haven't had any real success. There has to be something.....

I've been using a 996 cup car manual which has a lot of engine/transmission similarities (but mainly specs; no real procedural directions). I also have a copy of the 997 shop manual CD that I got off ebay a while ago that works well for non GT3 specific things. It has a GT3 section, but it's more of a brochure.....

I've heard of the ability to purchase copies of specific tasks from Porsche (i.e., how to change the oil), but never have been able to make that work. I've also heard of being able to buy a layperson subscription of generic procedures like a shop would use from a 3rd party, but I can't imagine that being as specific as a factory manual.

When I had my 993, I had a full binder set of factory manuals for that car. Ahhh, the good ole days......

Several years ago I was able to download the 2005-06 Workshop Manual. It is over 5,000 pages and has way more detail than the 993 manuals I have, which I think are quite decent in their own right. But it is not GT3-specific, although the majority of the items (except the engine, and some suspension and body work) are clearly identical.

My earlier response was deleted by the mods for whatever reason.
There is a CD out there a fellow Rennlister put together with all of this info on it. PM me if you want the info on how to get it. Guess they don't want even unaffiliated people posting links to things for sale.
Cheers.

Yeah, I saw the link before it was gone, but didn't get to follow it......

The 997.1 manual I have is very long too; very detailed, and I've used it for generic 997 things. Just nothing GT3 specific. My car is a '10 GT3, but the stuff that crosses over is pretty decent. Some things I've just googled, and found pretty good DIY documented things, like replacing the door lock cable, or how to remove the door panel.
