Default Brake pad and rotor advice.

A little background on car and driver. I've been tracking for over ten years at various tracks in the northeast in advanced run groups. I participate in mostly open track events and a some DE's,

The car is a 997.2 GT3 with the usual track mods. I have owned the car for over 4 wonderful years. The car has dedicated track wheels with nittos NT01. The brakes are PFC slotted rotors in the front and turbo OEM rear rotors. I currently use PFC 08 pads front and rear.

Now for the question, I've been through several sets of PFC 08 pleads and wonder if you have any recommendation on a better, newer, or easier on rotor pads I should be trying?
The second question is about rotors, I just replaced the front rotor but need new rears before my next event in two weeks, what rotors would you recommend for the rear, should I keep my current set up or am I missing some new products I haven't heard if yet!

Thanks very much for your generosity in sharing your wisdom and experience with me..

Try the ferodo ds111, I used PFC08 myself and these pads are just as good at a lower price point. I just put them in recently and I'm pleased with them.

Also for rear rotors, I had a spare set of centric cross drilled rotors that were ~$100 each and they fit my 997.2 RS (I have 5 lugs, not sure how important the red pins are) only 1 day on them so far so I can't comment on longevity but if I get more than 5 days out them it's more cost effective than going with the slotted 2 piece rotors.

Rob,
I sell PFC, Pagid and Ferodo. Ferodo DS1.11 has become the new favorite by all that have used it. Once they experience DS1.11 no one has gone back to what they have used previously. THis tells me alot. These pads are very very rotor friendly. IN addition a set of these pads in DS1.11 is less expensive than PFC 08, 11 or RS29. A full set at MSRP is $747.

I've run the 08s on my 997 and they are LOUD. The best I ever got them was after deglazing the rotors, scuffing the pads, and attempting to bed them. They stayed pretty quiet on the track but were a horror show on the streets.

I have the PFC 06s on my track 996 and they are relatively quiet and, in my opinion, just as good (if not better) than the 08s.
