Any reason not to use just regular copper or aluminum anti-seize paste? Seems like the purpose of the grease is mostly to prevent torque loss from friction when tightening the nuts and galling?

Not trying to cheap out I just like to explore the hardcore recommendations before going down those paths...

With very real centerlock failures, why bother doing anything but precisely oem?

For the little money we are talking about, I agree. But I'm a curious fellow and want to know if it really matters as long as you have some sort of hi temp grease/anti seize product.

It looks like normal lithium high temp anti seize to me

BMW motorcycles use the same grease btw
I wouldn't use anything else-it was on sale recently either at Suncoast or another site, try googling
