It's a fix it ticket in CA. It is u likely that you'd be ticketed for it. I once received a speeding ticket in a ferrari as he used speed matching and I didn't see him. He didn't even notice the laser deflectors on the rest plate frame. Best to just drive and claim ignorance of the law if just passing thru.

Laser jamming an officer's gun is a crime, as you are interfering with their enforcement, and depending on the state will get you a nice award and or more...If the officer catches you and is not in a good mood your day will get very ugly very fast. Plenty of cases, and other guys here on RL have posted as well. (I am not taking sides...)

Illegal. However I live in Oregon and have used one for years with no problems. Just use it properly and turn off your jammer as soon as you've slowed down so they can get a reading on you.
