Yes but we will let him play and he'll get one soon enough.
Sure!
Car looks great. Sad green is gone!
Under palm trees, indoor parking at the mall. That's all the shade Florida has. just drive faster to keep cool.

Here in Tokyo... Yesterday I went Porsche shopping and Picked up a well used and enjoyed 1979 930 turbo in red/black. Has some great patina, windshield needs to be replaced and has a bit of deferred maintenance to deal with. :-)
It's a tomica (tomy-ca which is now just called tomy and was basically "tomy car". F1 model from 79. It's old. I paid 200y for it lol. About $1.50. It's in better shape than the hot wheels I had as a kid. No fire cracker damage, fire, or sand in the wheels.
Wife in background shaking her head as she eats kaki-gori (shaved ice)

Looks like it needs a little paint work too. Should triple in a few years though. haha

you should start a pricing thread immediately... it may be an appreciating asset and Mooty will be buying up the stock as we speak!
Are you going to leave it OEM or going for a big KKK an suspension upgrades on your rat rod 930?

Well back in the states. May head to Pelican early sat to socialize a bit. Then it's back to wrenching on the antique.
In the lineup this weekend:
Tranny drain/fill, bleed clutch, install new engine compartment sound mat, install plugs, cap, rotor, coil, wires (the wires are 25 years old!), install sport (from the cab) rear engine mounts, CV boots (dreading this one), adjust shifter (has new bushings, binds a bit sliding into 5th, not gears, its mechanism), and adjust driver door latch/lube it.
Then its off to get underbody cleaned up, then to BBi for install of turbo tie-rods, alignment, ride height, corner balance setup.
Sounds like a lot, but this is really just general maintenance. Parts aren't $, but my time. But its fun.
THEN I'M DONE and will just drive it (or so i think!)

CV boots are ok to do, just messy. Tip use a flat blade screwdriver with a bit of rubber hose (to protect the calliper paint) on the shank to stick in the rear disc so you can release each bolt.
Clean and repack the cv joint with the correct (supplied?) grease.
If you don't have the correct 'lemon clip' tool to tighten/crimp the clips you can use end on cutter pliers or worse case side cutters (old bunt ones work best !).

mooty, between your stocks of sugar, cigars, drugs, toys (various) and cars of various descriptions... you should open an 'adult' shop for men. Your children could be put to good work running it

F'k, i'm lazy this week. I was all ready to get it up on stands and pull the axles out tonight to do the CV boots and I just got... f'king lazy! Or maybe real work is burning me. Need to figure out how to not do that real work thing... damn $.
