Default Water Wetter

I have a .2 RS that I will use for a DE at the end of this month. 2010 model, 50,000 km. Car has CPO for another 1.5 yrs. Dealership will pin coolant lines but will void CPO if a non factory trained mechanic pins them.

Before I get flamed, this will be my only DE this year. I have decided to not pin coolant lines until engine needs to come out for something else - clutch, LSD etc. However, I have decided to dump coolant for this DE and fill w water. This may not help me if I dump it on my rear wheels under load but should prevent carnage behind me.

Water would be in car x 1 month.
1. Is distilled better than tap water?
2. Do I need lubricant, as found in water wetter products for this short period or not?
3. If so, what product is recommended? (Seems to be some controversy from what I have read).

Thank you.

Cheers

Mark

Had WW in my car for over a year. About 6mo ago had water pump replaced preventatively. Everything was spotless.

Anyway. Use distilled water only. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. it's one or 2 bottles of WW needed. Forget.

And yes this is a good idea for track use. You can put coolant back in.

Thanks for the tips.

So, is it important to put water wetter in or can I run distilled water only for a month (not sure if I can find water wetter quickly enough).

Thx

Run it with WW, it helps keep the water pump properly lubricated

I think WW helps prevent corrosion too but if it's just for a month I wouldn't be too worried either way.
