Butchered, but being saved! Man I'm astonished at the conditions that car was in. I'm with Ranger, that is complete douchebaggery.

Thank you for bringing back. One bit of advice, don't do Carbon Fiber uprights for the wing, stick with metal.

What I think whenever I see this thread and the progress:

What Google thinks I'm thinking for some odd reason (I don't even like X-Men, or Marvel in general):

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give an update. The interior will be finished up on Monday and looks great. Roll bar and other items are back from the powder coater. Wheels are finished tomorrow and will get shipped out next week. I am very excited about those. I need to order tires. I was going to go with Toyo tires because they had talked about continuing to sponsor the car. But I guess since the Toyo rep is buddies with Creaminz and LTMW they have been unresponsive. I assume they don't want to be a part of the build because I exposed a bit about their quality of builds and honesty. So I need to decide what tire I am going to go with.

Here is a little sneak peak....

OP you are turning a total abortion into a live birth.
You sir are a champion of GT3 resurrection.
You took a GT3 which looked good from far BUT far from good (essentially an abomination) and are turning it into real performance GT3.
From what I've seen the only GOOD component of that GT3 is the CAE shifter.
Best shifter hands down!!!!!!!! All others are just child's toys.
My apologies to all members who are fooled that Numeric is "good" but you have NOT did I say NOT yes NOT have experienced the CAE shifter.
I have tried them all and they are toys. Starting with the 996Cup shifter and cables, well they are a JOKE and I mean a total JOKE. It is absolute junk compared to a CAE shifter and cables.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!!! I am really happy how things are going and extremely excited how things are moving along. I made one slight change to the finish of the wheels so they will not ship till next week. But I think it is going to be well worth it

And YES I completely agree with RSRanger, the CAE shifter is absolutely amazing. One of the best I have ever experienced. And one of the very few things I am keeping on the GT3.

Brake calipers are bake from the powder coater so now I just new to put the new pistons and seals in. The rear calipers needed rebuilt so I just decided to put new parts in all of them. Had an offer for a great price on the StopTech "upgrade" but honestly felt the factory GT3 calipers are stout enough. So I decided to stick with them.

I got the seat pans back form the painters. It took forever to strip them of that goofy paint splash look that was on them No idea the reasoning for that. But the pans are now Nardo Grey It should look nice with the new leather interior. The seats now say "Recaro" in red to match the roll bar.

Will keep the updates coming as I have them. The car should be finished and on the road by the end of this month. As long as nothing new comes up. I'm not going to push it and compromise quality, but will keep things moving along.

How did you sort the rear arch extension where they meet the body?

James my assessment has always been and will not change ... you are an intelligent, honest and capable man. You are one of the good men.
I truly accept and honor your comments. We've never met but I am certain.
I sadly (God will never forgive me) have assessed many men at the point of a gun and have never been wrong.
Please experience the CAE shifter and then get back to me my friend.
