That's kind of my point.. the person who shows off after "meets" isn't going to melt caliper pistons. That was most likely done on track.

Can't nuke calipers on the street - that said this refresh is coming along nicely - thumbs up

I will state it and TOTALLY stand by it ... the prior owner IS a douchebag.
I completely agree with you!! But trying to keep that stuff in the other thread
Trust me there are plenty of text with the previous owner and pics I could post up. But honestly I don't feel like it is going to accomplish anything so I decided to just move on.

And I am going to make sure that this car is truly good

Definite signs he beat on it and had no clue about cars at all. But typically this kind of caliper damage is done at the track after heating them up a lot.

I know it has been a while and I haven't updated the thread. We are going to paint/body tomorrow. I almost have the car stripped down. I will remove the windshield and rear glass tomorrow morning. Here are a few pics as it is being stripped down.

Looks like I posted the same pic 3 times. Geez sorry about that.

Wheels are being cut as we speak. DPE wheels has been awesome to deal with and making a beautiful custom set of wheels.

Roll bar is out to get powder coated a different color.

All interior is getting pulled an redone.

Calipers are at the powdercoater now and getting new single color so they no longer look like clown hair lol. Also getting full rebuild with new pistons, seals, etc.

Once car is back from paint and body we will dial the suspension in and work on more mechanical items. The exhaust tips are getting powdercoated gloss black also.

New custom carbon fiber air splitters, side skirts, wing uprights and more are currently being made. They will add a nice touch to the car.

Can't wait to have it finished so I can drive it!

It would be nice to dip the tub and start again.

Are you going to sit quitley for an hour to straighten the fins on the AC condensor or replace- it looks hammered from rock carnage!

Anyway glad to see the GT getting some love.

I am planning on just replacing. Or if one of my techs is in the doghouse I will have him sit down and straighten them out
