Bob,
So stoked for you man! You got a great car, looking forward to some back roads cruising with you. How funny, I had called on this car when it was for sale the first time, thought about it for a few weeks, when I called back it was sold. Glad it came back up for you.

Thanks for all the nice comments, nothing to report or new photos as the car is still in transit. It is hard not being able to get in it and take it out for a drive. At least I do have others to keep me occupied while I wait. I may have to go to Charlotte just to take a spin before the coolent upgrade is done. Chris, to basterdize a song lyrics, do you remember the way to Montery. What do you say to Rennsport V just like Rennsport IV? Those were some good roads.

I also had an '08 GT3 narrow body. Nice pick-up.

I'm down with that Bob, the road to RRIV was a great trip!
No early car for you this time...

That is still open to debate. The thought of covering the nose of the GT3 with bugs just puts a grin on my face. And a blast across the Extraterrestrial Highway in the GT3 does sound like a good run.

The .1 narrow bodies are the best looking of them all on my opinion.

Awesome.

It has been a long time since I acquired this car and had it shipped to Zuffenhaus to have the coolant pipes welded. When this car came up for sale I almost passed since I had no space to house it. There was a collector car garage project being started near me which I had put a deposit on one of the garages, but it was many months off. Being able to store it at Zuffenhaus until the garages were completed sealed the deal and I bought it. Well almost 70 days of rain pushed the dates for completion back but with RRV coming up I just decided to get it shipped out. The delays did open the slippery slope, added a DSC module, Sharkworks center delete/tips and a 3.88 ring and pinion.
It had 7005 miles on the clock when it rolled off the trailer. It will get almost that many more in the next few weeks, drive out to RRV and then on the PCA Escape in the Black Hills before returning to TX.
Well it is intoxicating!

Well done. Curious your thoughts on the ring and pinion. It's my only gripe with this car.

Since I do not have time in the car with the stock R&P I cannot give a comparison, but I do like it. I do not find it too short in first or second. The response is spectacular but this is what everyone says about these cars in general. I have been driving around town and find it very comfortable. I can easily see it as a daily driver (note: I do not have a commute to work). All my other Porsche's are air cooled so this car, as raw as it is to many, is quite refined.
