BBS E88 leaking lots of air--repair?
Heavily tracked, non-bent or wrecked BBS E88 wheel leaking air at the contact point between inner and outer pieces (wheels in the avatar--rear). Won't hold air more than 5 minutes. Can I get these repaired? Any suggestion where to send? Thank you.

If like any other multi-piece, yes. split them and reseal (gasket / silicone). should be 1-2 hours labor if you have a shop do it.

Common problem-I see the same issue on one of my e88s. According to my techs, silicone is not recommended by BBS, but a rebuild and re torque is usually the solution.

bbs doesn't use silicon
there's a seal and a gasket b/n the pieces. you need to replace one or both. also i do not re-use the hardwares, some do. it's not a hard repair.

New bolts and gaskets should solve your problem. Also torque either 17 or 20lbs if I can recall.
Mine have been holding air since the day I rebuilt them.

I would check torque on the bolts first. Contrary to everyone else, I rebuilt with new gaskets, bolts and used a high temp gasket sealer. It does not lose air at all. The high temp gasket sealer come off easily in one piece when rebuilding so is just an additional layer in holding air. I want a slow leak when it leaks to get me home...
BBS advise against a sealer between halves because bolts losing torque is dangerous and leaking air is the first sign. My wheels are street use only.
