PCM 3.0 iPod /USB Interface
Now that Apple has discontinued the iPod Classic with its 30 pin connector, what are the options for the new Lightning Connector equipped iPod Touch's ? Alternatively, if one uses a USB thumbdrive, is there a way to stop the PCM from reindexing the thumbdrive contents with every IGN on/off cycle? A 64 GB thumbdrive takes for ever to index.

I just installed this in my GT3, but I have the CDR-30: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/iL-CDR30.html
Works perfect with my iPhone 6+ and I can listen to music, get nav directions from Waze, and charge the phone at the same time.
The PCM 3.0 has the same quadlock connector in the back as the CDR-30, making for an easy installation.

Have you tried the 30pin to lightening connector?
I used these in my 997.2 with PCM and it worked fine to allow use of iPhone with lightening to 30pin connection to the car.
