Mexico Or Riviera Blue????
I have a Basalt Black 997
I have been considering installing a role cage and having it painted either Mexico or Riviera Blue.
the typical red, black or yellow is too played out.
I also intend to have the center console painted to match
anyone else done a wild color?

i would only do an interesting color if i have 6 pistons up front. planning on doing a brake upgrade once my rotors are worn.. they almost are.
that said i was thinking the typical speed yellow for calipers and using either brembo gt or porsche calipers with factory paint. i cant see the aftermarket paint holding up.

good luck on painting. My Sc has been on the paint shop for over 7 weeks with little work actually done except to trash the inside. It seems that with most shops insurance work has priority and other jobs are time fillers. I wish I had not embarked on this and I'm not doing a color change just repairing some minor rust in a 33 year old car

either is cool but I would think twice about painting the console to match ... I'm not really sure trim works unless it matches the exterior

you probably need to see both colors next to each other, they are VERY similar, Riviera is a little lighter+yellow/Mexico darker+blue/red

for me, i just want something that is unique but not so far out there that it looks cheap.
i believe paint the cage and console it will have some nice symmetry and create consistent theme

i am with you on matching the exterior color with interior element... my car is metallic black so not much fun with the interior.

Here are a couple of pix of my '11 GT3RS which is Riviera Blue with Orange trim. The calipers were painted Riviera Blue at the factory. Personally, I really like the blue calipers but then it just looks right with the blue exterior and orange wheels. You decide.

Yes, I know Alex has the twin to my car. We have talked about trying to get them together for a photo-op. To our knowledge, these are the only 2 in the US and we believe there are 2 in Europe. Total of 4. Pretty limited production.
