Default Yokohama AD08R: what pressures?

I've got a new set of AD08R's (235/35/19 and 305/30/19) and am trying to figure out what pressures (hot) work best on the track. I've been targeting 36 psi front and 38 psi rear, but they start to feel just a bit greasy toward the end of a session. Those of you who are running these on the track - what hot pressures do you recommend?

33-34F -agree, over 35 and they feel greasy. Just as bad to go to low
35-36R. I run 1psi higher. 38 and over feel greasy.
All HOT.
These are some good starting point. Track temp will affect the feel but if you play around these temps you have a good reference.

I've only auto crosses my AD08R tires...highly impressed...great tires....these are my street tires. I found like the others even with auto cross...nothing over 35 hot.

Thanks for the replies. The answers seem to be consistent and confirm that my hot pressures are too high. The tires definitely got more greasy as they heated up. The AD08R's are new to me and I was basing my initial target pressures on what I used with the MPSS, which are softer feeling tires and like somewhat higher pressures. However, I'm already finding the AD08R's have more grip and a more stable feel than the MPSS, which start to feel a bit "squirmy" as you push them.

Has anyone used both these and NT-01s? Just curious how they compare in terms of grip and tire life. Thanks.

Default AD08Rs vs Super Sports

I love the Yokohamas after recently giving up on the MPSS. I would agree with one of the other posts that described the MPSS as one of the best street tires out there...BUT...when taken to the track and especially in the heat their tendency to blister badly had me retiring the tires when the amount of tread remaining was significant. I was generally shooting for 37 psi when coming off the track and this was my target pressure at all four corners. A Michelin engineer thought I should run higher pressures but I found that it resulted in loss of grip. Gave up on the super sports after my 4th set. I am running my second set of AD08Rs (which wear like iron and are not heat blistering) at a hot target pressure of 30 psi.

Hi guys.. I recently put a new set of AD08R's on my 6-3.. By 'greasy' do you mean a squirmy/tram lining effect?

Because I noticed that right away after getting them fitted... I better go check my pressures! I feel they my have put up to about 40 psi in them upon installation.

New tires may feel greasy for the first 250 miles due to manufacture lubricant. Try 30f 33r cold. I aim for 32/34hot at the track.

Greasy meaning you can feel the car moving around. Happens regardless of age.. Check your pressures!

This. The mold release needs to scrub off. Takes a few hundred miles to do so.

I run them at 30 front and 33 rear cold for the street.

I start off at 27 cold all around at the track and aim to be around 32-34 hot.

Yup, that's exactly what I do now. I found this Yokohama blog that advises 32-24 psi hot: http://www.yokohama.com.au/News-and-...ace-tyres.aspx.

Thanks... yes that ^^ is what I am feeling.

Does anyone notice increased shoulder wear on the street running these pressures?
