drain hole mini screwup...where do they go?
You know those drain holes around the battery compartment in our cars...where do they go? I had read that they tend to fill with crap, so while washing my car today I decided to check them. Sure enough the one to the left of the battery (when standing in front of the car) was clogged with leaf / dirt and now a bit of water from my wash.
I stick my finger in there to scoop it out...no good. Then I try to pull the rubber liner out...won't budge. They I do the stupid thing and try to nudge the crap through the hole. Well...it's clear now, because the whole rubber liner fell into whatever compartment is down there. I checked the floor. No bueno.
How do I get it out? Wait for my 20K inspection?

Just a guess on my part. I suspect there is a dead space down there that you could access by removing the front fender plastic liner (just the rear section) or possibly the plastic under-panel that is parallel to the ground in that vicinity.
What do you see when you shine a light down there (using an angled mirror) ?

where are those dental instruments when i need them. it's pretty dark down there. there seems to be some white plastic reservoir. i don't think there are any moving parts.
the fender liner idea sounds good! thx.
