Hey Clifton, do you think Hendrick Porsche will contact us on this?

Hope you are doing well!

For the first recall, I had to contact them and I still have my original CL's on the car from that recall. They have ordered the new CL's twice now due to availability when I was in for service.

*Thumbs up* on this end and I hope the same for you!

Awaiting written confirmation but I had a chat to the local dealer and its not pretty!

Components to be timed out as follows here apparently...

-a log book of track use to be kept (kms below refer to track use)
- rear hubs, bolts and bearings to be replaced after every 7000kms
- rear bearing housings, front hubs, bolts and bearings after every 14000kms
- front bearing housings every 28000kms

Apparently, by the time the RSs came to market, the hubs had been revised... This affects cars built before 04/10... The maintenance schedule will apply to all...

Awaiting mail out to confirm all of this so take it with a grain of salt for the moment...

Ching, ching!!!

I'll be expecting all hub and bearing components changed by Porsche to restart my log schedule before I adopt their crazy maintenance schedule!

Yeah, they are... Making us customers pay for their poor choices, poor engineering and poor judgement... Bet those parts won't be subsidised with reduce margin pricing either

Luckily I won't be doing too many track kms. I am awaiting advice from Porsche Brighton. Post back any further details.

My dealer in Tampa Florida has nothing official yet but believes my 2010 GT3 will be part of the recall.

I received confirmation from my local dealer today that my car is on the list (build date Nov. '09). She is tucked away for the winter so I won't be going in until the end of Q1 '13. When I asked about other CL models getting recalled, there was silence.

Many thanks for posting this Viking. I'd never have checked into this if it were not for your OP.

I think we will have to wait until JAN13 for official letter. My called my dealer again amd they said nothing under my VIN.

I think I'm just going to start driving the thing without any wheels on. No nasty surprises that way.

The recall is real, very real.... Just taking time to get info and parts out to the US because of the volume to recall...

If your car was part of the 510 you should have been contacted already.

I don't think so. The recall hasn't been issued yet...that was just a preliminary notice.
