Default Brack pads knocking around

I'm trying to diagnose an annoying sound from my suspension. I'm fairly certain that my pads are knocking around and causing the sound. Here's what I've got:

Pagid pads without wear sensors in both front and rear. Right now I have the RS29 and RS19 pads in. Stock Pagids in the front and rears are my track pads (RS19).

When reversing after driving for awhile if you apply the brake there is an audible knock, knock as if the pads are moving into position. Roll forward and brake after this and the pads knock knock the other way.

Sometimes this just happens after driving for awhile and I brake to a stop- knock or sometimes knock knock. Sometimes from the front, sometimes the knock is from the rear or sometimes both.

This started after I changed to track pads. Currently I have the stock pads in the front discs but still the same.

Does the wear sensor position the pads so they don't knock around? Am I missing something in the pads- like a dampner?

Taking to the dealer tomorrow for other stuff, but thought I'd check here first. This is fustrating...

No wear sensors right?

I'm OK with it if it's normal, just surprised my searches have shown no posts on the subject.

Some folks here indicated the spring clip added no functionality other that reducing noise/rattle. I removed them and car does indeed seem to stop

I have not yet tracked without them however. Pads are certainly easier to change without the clip.

Well, I just find it weird that when I bought my car the stock pads didn't knock. Now that I've tracked a few times and put the stck pads back in the knock remains. Sensors were always out.

Doesnt seem that little sensor wire clip would make any difference.

Totally normal...even with my brakes which are smaller than GT3 brakes.

Thanks guys. Sounds like normal operation, but not universal, otherwise I'm sure there would be more compliants. Let's see what they say at the dealer tomorrow.

i had similar issue once in my '06 C2S when using street pads (and i knew what the noise was since i dont run springs on the track and get knocking from time to time). everything was in place but i guess the springs lost some tension from me changing them so much because buying/using new springs cleared the issue right away.
