Just installed the new SmartCam GP. It's a great little unit that takes the original SmartyCam and then takes the camera and "guts" and separates them. Bullet cam on the rollbar and control unit in the center console. I also ordered the hardwire kit since the internal battery is pathetic. The external GPS antenna is run to the space next to the battery and stored there while not in use and then mounted on the passenger side front fender when in use. I am trying it out for the first time next weekend at VIR. Video to come then.

I did not order the ECU bridge nor the RPM module so in the beginning it will just be the basic data that it logs for the overlay. Once step at a time

Also just finished installing PFC08's, full flush of SRF, and installed the track wheels. Obligatory pics attached

Is smartycam HD now? I was thinking of getting one but haven't seen any HD videos from one yet. Curious to see what you think.

I have an AIM EVO4 data logger which will hook right up to it too.

AIM is not HD and I don't think they will anytime soon. AIM is not a big fan of HD as it is a memory hog,.

Gps antenna works fine if you simply let it sit on a rear shelf under the glass. You may also consider to pair smartycam with solo dl lap timer.
