If you are talking about RSC1, they are not that great on track in my experience. I have never used the stock PCCB P40 pad so I can't make a direct comparison. But just not enough friction/bite for me. I have a set of RSC3 that I will try soon. In the meantime, RS29 is pretty awesome on some kinds of ceramic discs.

I put away the ceramics in closet- swapped to irons. Night and day difference in "brake feel".. we take it for granted on this brake feel thing.
That said I do feel the difference in ride quality with heavier rotors..

My opinion is the poor feel that people talk about with ceramics is due to lack of pad choices. I ran brembo iron discs with PFC 08/06 pads for over 40 track days. RS29 on Surface Transforms carbon ceramic rotors feels every bit as good as the iron setup to me. Now, if they will just last forever...

RS29 on Surface Transforms carbon ceramic rotors feels every bit as good as the iron setup to me. Now, if they will just last forever...

Hello all, what is the consensus on best replacement discs for iron 997.1GT3? For the 991 it seems to be purely between Brembo and AP. But for the 997 my tuner advises performance friction, which I have used before and was happy with. Is there a clear cost/performance winner among the available options?

I'm a cheap devil. been using the truck rotors for my car (Cayenne 350 rotors can work on 2007 GT3 with iron brakes). About $100 a piece. beats the snot out of the big buck rotors. I don't mind going thru these

Been using PFC's for years. The prices are now stupid expensive. 997.1 GT3, cast iron brakes. My tech is saying to use PAgid, another trustworthy source says the new Ferrodo DS 1.11 is the best price/performance.
What are other using now?
Experience or comparisons available that were done recently?

They work on the street but not on the track.
I had a code brown moment the first time I used them on the track. Literally no bite after one lap. I thought I was going to crash!
I chewed out my shop for installing them (supplier called them OEM). Fortunately, I had an old set of Pagid P40 at the track with me. But it pretty much ruined a weekend at the track since I didn't have enough pad on hand for the event. And scared the pants off of me.
