price is very competitive with the other GT3 offerings - with complete McLaren race support.

Cheaper than a new 2012 Cup? Who does the support? I'd totally get one. What series can you run in it?

I am assuming he meant FIA GT3 meaning, it would be competitive with say a 997 GT3R in regards to price. CRS Racing in UK built the cars with McLaren so I am assuming they or McLaren themselves would be involved a bit with the support of them.

Easiest series to probably run them in would be World Challenge or Grand Am GT. Maybe ALMS if you get the right people and get the car approved.

Agree. It will be running in FIA GT3 and the Blancpain Enduro Series.

Ready-to-race new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will be priced at £310,000. Andrew Kirkaldy, CRS Racing Team Principal and Project Manager for McLaren GT said: "Having been a customer of GT car manufacturers for many years, I'm delighted we are now able to offer a carbon chassis based GT3 car for £310,000. There will be no hidden costs and we will work as hard as we can to support as many races as we can."

I had the chance to chat with CRS owner Chris Nairchos this summer regarding the MP4-12C GT3 program. This year was they targeted the European FIA GT3 to work through development. Next year the platform will be rolled out across multiple regions including the US. Customer interest has been very high so we should be seeing these running in multiple events.

Interesting to note that CRS will also be involved in the road going version of the MP4-12C GT3.
