No! the rumors that they used the same 28/40% 997 332 083 91 LSD are not true.
Porsche listened to the complaints and installed an uprated cup LSD with a much higher preload and steel plates.
They also changed the rear toe links to mono ***** and removed the eccentrics.
PS. IMO the best thing is that PTS was free.

The only reason I present my skepticism is because I have spoken to more than one PCNA regional rep. who is both aware of our upgrade options and who simultaneously denies that the LSD requires our service. Porsche has been saying there's nothing wrong with their LSDs for a decade now, so for them to pull a severe about-face like this on the GT2-RS would really surprise me.
Now I am totally open to being shown wrong. I don't know everything, and have been disproven before on more than one technical detail in the past. I'm just saying that maybe I should have been born in Missouri because I am all about "Show Me" and then I'll believe you.
Of course, with his technical resources, if anyone can show me, it will be 911Slow. I look forward to the scan from the service manual or owner's manual that shuts my mouth on this one...

911slow has great tech resource ... but I am waiting for savyboy to complain about tail wag with his 2RS then we will have the first case report.

And sadly they did not do away with the eccentric on the toe control arms. It is a spherical end though which is an upgrade.
My GT2RS tail wags like a happy dog under threshold braking. My GT3RS with Guard diff and Intrax suspension is rock solid under brakes.
Go figure
