Fellow GT car experts, I have a question regarding a 997.1 GT3 that I have requested a PPI on. I just got a report right before the weekend and the following was noted:

“engine oil leak on top roof f bank one cylinder, more checks required”

I will request further investigation after the weekend but i’m looking for any feedback or information from the rennlist experts. Any thoughts on what this might be and how severe an issue it is?

Well… so cylinder 1 is below the oil filter. It’s possible it came from up top. Can they stick a camera in there?

Thanks Spyrex. I plan to reach out to the tech after the weekend to try and get further clarification on the note. I didn’t think that there were many sources of leak beyond the RMS.
