Default Wheel options for the GT3 RS ceramics

I know a few of you dudes have hooked up with some aftermarket wheels for the RS. i've got pccbs and id like to get a second set of wheels to slick up and use for certain track days.

i run bbs's on the cup car and on another. i find them to be pretty reliable. but i believe i read up here and from BBS themselves that there might be fitment issues with the 3piece setup (cup car setup).
anyone gotz experience with that?
or know more about it?
what about the 1 piecers?

any other good options out there for RS wheels?
and what do you recommend for slicks for the RS? i run hoosier R6's on the boxster and the stock yoko advans on the cup.
whatcha think??

I'm also interested to hear new news.

If you want to search this forum for GMG/SpeedMerchants/Jongbloed/DPE, CCW, Champion, Forgeline and Cargraphic -- they all offer various 18's and 19's.

The Champ and BBS single piece "monobloc" wheels are wildly expensive.

CCW doesn't have their 19 yet. GMG is one of the few with a decent wheel in stock in 19's with RS and GT3 offsets.

I don't think any of them have gone to hidden valves or nitrogen purge valves.

The best kept secret in ultra stong, ultra lightweight wheels: Forged Alloy USA. 18"/19". 5 lug/centerlock. Passes TUV. Pricing is...compelling.

Pick your size/style/offsets/finish. Each set custom made in the USA.

The 7 spoke (w/additional lightening) black anodized are going on my RS. Fronts approx ~16 lbs, rears ~19lbs

Graphic shows additional lightening that can be done by removing material from the face around the bolt circle (in my case the centerlock).

I have had the mesh design from Forged Alloy on my C4S for ~10,000miles and the finish is durable and no problems. Light weight really livens the driving dynamics.

OK, I trust you. Let's do a group buy for the RS offsets. I'll take a set in a plain silver or whatever ... maybe I can be convinced to match the factory red of the RS ... reproducing the design of the CarGraphic one-piece would be nice.

Do they make their own or are they yet another DPE branded vendor?

Thanks!

Color match adds 200-250 grams.

Make their own. Check out the website, lots of cool info. Mike is one of the most knowledgable people I have ever run into with regards to wheel technology.

I will email him the link to this thread and perhaps he will respond here.

I'll jump in a "GB" for a set of those (Mk2 GT3).

BBS 3 piece 18" fits (Same calipers) and are < 5K. Monoblocks, closer to 10K.

The only reason I buy no BBS is much less $$.

I could be wrong, but I think they fit. Same calipers and rotors right?
We did a group buy for the first 20 sets I think (They are out now, waiting for the next shipment), great price.

"Color match adds 200-250 grams."

What? Screw that then! That must be a nano second or more?

While it is a true fact, I mainly put that in the post as bait to see who would bite

Hard to resist isn't it? Lol...

I am going to wait and let Mike pop into this thread to answer that specifically. However it is safe to say you will be pleasantly surprised as you are dealing direct with the manufacturer.

Good to hear it's a "true fact" as opposed to a false fact.

Hard to resist...
