Default Door pulls?

For those ordering full leather, do you think those pulls can be ordered in leather as well?

Highly doubtful, but would be easy to have custom made.

They could be made from crushed velvet and not be any more ridiculous than they already are. Gimmick gone wrong...

I agree with RSman, it would be easier to have them custom made say through TechArt or Gemballa. As for adding weight with custom material in the doors? Very little difference I would imagine.

Wonder if it will be irritating to drive with a t-shirt with that door-pull rubbing up against your arms all the time.

How much weight does the door pull save over the regular handles? I have to run some calculations to see how many 100,000'ths of a second the weight difference is going to make

funny thing is they make that huge surround for the pull.. handle is probably lighter.

That's why the cup car actually uses a regular plastic door opener, and a strap that sits lower to close the door.

Personally, I think the whole RS door panel change look rediculous. They still use the molded door panel like the other models. Just look at the speaker grill. They just remove the door pocket on the bottom and change a lever for a pull and a cover. If you look back at a vintage RS door panels on old 911s, it is a completely different piece. It is a completely flat panel with just a simple handle and fabric pull. These simple changes on the new RS hardly make it look retro.

i think we should just remove the door completely.
it saves about 60lbs per side if not more.
your windshield will never fog up again.
but you do need to buy a few more warm jackets.

You can save a lot of money by removing the doors and end up with something that looks like this.

Isn't that a door handle right below the strap in the picture??? So then what is the point of the strap??? Kinda like wearing a belt and suspenders at the same time...
