Default Ruf RGT pics from Rennsport

Really liked this car in person, so thought I'd post the shots. I personally prefer black wheels, as on the RS, but this is still an incredible looking car.

Very nice.

Where can I get the front bumper grill inserts, as on your pictrured car, to protect my radiators???

Thanks.

Awesome car!!!

George, here are the Porsche part numbers for the GT3:

997 505 323 90 GT3 Cup screen
997 505 324 90 GT3 Cup screen
997 505 321 90 GT3 Cup screen

you should be able to get them ordered by your dealer or Geert at Carnewal. For the RT12 screens - you'll need to go to RUF.

Thanks,
I'll check them out.
I assume these will fit a 997 GT3?

Wow, that car looks cool. Thanks for posting. Which model is it based on? What are the specs?

Its an RGT, decoded that means Ruf's version of the GT3. Designed for the street, there is a more track day version called the RGTR (S).

Read all about it here - http://www.ruf-automobile.de/ibase/d...tendeutsch.pdf

If you aren't familiar with Ruf these are 'Porsches the way Porsche would like to build them'.
(at a price Porsche can only dream of selling them)

RGT - The 3.8 litre engine has a high compression ratio of 12.0 : 1. The output of 445 hp (327 kW) is reached at 7,600 rpm. The maximum torque of 420 Nm abuts at the crankshafts at 5,100 rpm.

I much prefer the idea of the forced induction Rt12. "The 650 bhp 3.8 liter engine is of a new construction, which sets a new benchmark in performance and torque."

The RT12 is a 'limo cruiser' compared to the RGT. There is no such thing as a free lunch, forced induction is all about the sensation of speed, rather than the reactiveness of a car like the RGT or the GT3.

I too am not a fan of forced induction. Of course if you're a torque junkie, a blower is the way to go. But give me a high rpm screamer with linear power delivery any day rather than a blower.

That said, BMW's new DFI turbo six (335i) apparantly feels naturally aspirated. And Ferrari is talking about a DFI turbo that will also be a screamer. For those of us who live at altitude, this is good news.
