Default best (cheapest) place to buy GT3 lip?

Suncoast used to have them for less than $100. Now they're almost $200.

I agree about the dollar's devaluation, but it's 2x vs. several months ago. That's not an exchange rate issue.

Suncoast Porsche has been the quickest and most reliable source for GT3 parts for me, even difficult items to get such as an RS wing.

it is dependent upon when your supplier bought stock and took FX cover.

the dollar has depreciatd 50% against the euro. PAG has take FX cover to protect its new car purchasers in the US, the parts suppliers havent been as smart.

Once you get the hang of it these things will last you a good while. Just sand it down once it gets ratty looking and take all steep grades at a severe angle. I'm still on the first one and don't really see the need to change it out as it will just get more scrapes. $200 is a rip.

they're worse in taking more abuse than 996 gt3, and i hear the bumper has to come off to replace it????

but mine's still good -- but i never replaced a 996 3, nor 996 2 valence, even with massive scraping

Yep, dips around LA can be pretty hard on it. No bumper removal required.

You sure about that? It looks like it's still available on their site. I also ordered the 997 GT3 Technik brochure along with the lip and just got a response that only the Technik brochure is NLA.

BTW, what's the trick to removing the lip? I removed the two screws located on both ends, but I can't get the tabs off. It feels like I'll rip the whole fender off. Are you guys prying off the tabs?

Remove the screws from the two ends, then start at one end and just pull one of the ends out towards you. Its very easy to do once you get the first tab pulled out.
