Default Sirius Satellite Radio in a 997

Is there a cost effective way to install Sirius Satellite radio in my 997's PCM? Ideally, I am looking for a DIY kit that is easy to install......ideally a plug and play solution. I want to be able to control the Sirius through my PCM.

I have the NAV-TV Sirius that interfaces with the stock head unit...and I have Bose as well. It's been in for nearly 3 years and it works like a charm. Not exactly cost effective as the hardware was $500 back in 2014.

I also installed an OEM retrofit of Sirius XM in my 997.1 all for under $300. I did it myself and it was very easy. All setup in the frunk. It worked with the native PCM display and controls.

You only need 4 parts including the Sirius/XM tuner.

1) SIRIUS/XM TUNER: 7L5910563 / 7L5 910 563
2) MOST/ELECTRICAL HARNESS: 955.044.900.80 - you can get it from your dealer.
3) SAT RADIO ANTENNA:
Amazon Amazon

4) SAT RADIO ANTENNA SPLITTER:
Amazon Amazon

I followed instructions from a renntech tutorial: https://www.renntech.org/forums/tuto...orsche-997-c2s

Just in case the hyperlink above gets messed up - here is the link (just remove the space after renntech)

Below is an image of how it looks with OEM integration on the PCM.

I just ordered the Sirious/XM tuner 7L5910563 and will be doing the conversion on my 2007 997 without CD changer or NAV. The article says plug and play and the car will locate Sirius/XM on it's own after installation. Another thread says dealer re-map necessary for the unit to find Sirus/XM. Does anyone have an answer? Thanks.

This looks good. I have the Dension and I have to control Sirius from my phone. Switching stations sucks.
Can you post pics and comments of the antenna location?
