Default Would like to rent a 911 in the San Diego area

Looking to rent a 911 and run up to PEC LA. Hertz does not have any available and I've requested info from Enterprise, but have not heard back. Any suggestions? An older Porsche would be amazing too if they are out there for rent

Thanks in advance Rennlisters!

Try turo.com. Just did it for the first time in Vegas and it worked out well.

sucks.. check again periodically, as there are plenty of newer 991s in the SF area for around $200/day on turo. A bargain.

There was a R8 on that service that got wadded by a customer and the owner and Turo are still fighting over the check and it's amount.

I was in Palm Springs in January and the Hertz location at the airport had a number of Porsches (Boxsters and Cayennes at that time) and other German marques in their rental fleet lot.

You may want to check them out as I wouldn't be surprised that their inventory might move between those two cities.

Do the local dealers ever rent out their Porsches?

^^^ Everytime you test drive.
Otherwise: http://www.porschepassport.com/

Also, that R8 and Turo issue was settled last year (unless there was another R8 issue). The R8 owner just didn't read the insurance limitations and chose the wrong insurance coverage. Turo is pretty clear about them and the limitations of coverage.
Anecdotally my first Turo experience was awful... really, it didn't even happen. Had an Aston booked for a couple weeks, was supposed to meet the owner at the airport and he canceled while I was in the air. D!ck move and no help from Turo in rebooking.

Hagerty insurance has a program where people rent their antique/collector cars. I know thy have older cars on there but obviously is location dependent. They match the folks but it is an agreement between the two parties. I think they started making available to people who don't use their insurance but can't swear to that.
