Default 996 and 997.1 Carrera naturally aspirated 200 cell cat pipe or x-pipe group buy

After some discussion in another thread here, I’ve managed to arrange a group buy of 200 cell cat pipes or X-pipes through Phoenix Exhaust. These pipes are actually made by Top Gear UK. Phoenix is marketing the systems to the North American market with Top Gear's blessing.

Regular pricing is US$500 for the cat pipes, and US$620 for the x-pipes. Anecdotally, there is some low end torque loss with the x-pipes. The torque loss supposedly can be nullified with a tune. I do not have any practical experience or dyno graphs of anything, but either system should provide a 10-15 hp bump. Frankly, my primary concern is with a bit more sound without being obnoxious, and I just don’t want to lose any power. And I'm 'price conscious' and feel that an option which is wallet friendly is a good idea (as long as the quality is reasonable).

Construction is stainless steel. The systems are fabricated in the UK. I do not have any further information regarding the manufacturer or origin of the catalytic converters themselves, but the pricing is very competitive compared to other manufacturers.

The group buy discount is a flat rate of US$60.00 off per system. Shipping via DHL Express is INCLUDED, but taxes and customs duty and brokerage will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Currently (8 February 2017), Phoenix does not have stock of the cat pipes or 996 x-pipes, but does have stock on the 997 x-pipes. I will update when I have more information. Phoenix does not want to accept orders until stock is available.

Please indicate your interest with a response to the thread, indicating 996 or 997 and cat pipe or x-pipe. I’ve started two threads, one in each of the 996 and 997 forums. However, as I’m a 997 owner, I typically don’t visit the 996 forum, so please post your response in the 997 forum thread.

A discount code will be used to activate the discount when ordering online. For now, as most of the systems are not yet available, these threads are to garner interest.

I have no interest in either Top Gear or Phoenix. The idea of a group buy arose from a discussion in the 997 forum, so I thought I'd take the lead and do a bit of emailing, and that's it.

I've only discussed cat pipes and x-pipes, and I'm not sure they do headers.

Please make sure they DON'T use UPS as a courier as UPS charge ridiculous brokerage fees. DHL is the best from UK @$10, FedEx is OK ~$20, UPS is worst @~$60+

If they use UPS, it is a deal breaker for me.

I was told everything ships DHL International Express. I too hate UPS for effectively bumping up my cost by sometimes as much as a third. Ridiculous!

will their x-pipes accommodate 997.1 PSE mufflers? what is the difference between x-pipes and cat pipes in terms of sound and HP/torque for 997.1 with factory PSE

look at items and prices from agency power and maxspeed motorsports, probibly looks like the same stuff. I have used both companies. Looking at the prices you have I think this is probibly all the same stuff. It is all made in tiawan or china. No matter what they tell you.
It is good stuff, Ive used it for years and its alot better than buying $5000 exhaust from hi end tuners

I actually have PSE on my car too. I believe they will. I have asked for confirmation. The PET does not seem to list different stock cats for regular exhaust and PSE.

For sound, I suspect you will get the same sort of differences on PSE as with stock exhaust, but obviously the PSE will be switchable, and thus louder still.
