Default Put mine in. Very happy

Before

After

They are SO MUCH BETTER than before. And added 12 HP, I swear.

Took my clumsy self about an hour to do it all.

geez. the pictures look much worse than sitting in the drivers seat-- but it truly is a huge improvement.

They do, from a normal seating distance is really hard to tell if they are OEM or not

$100? Couldn't you buy a new module used for close to that price? Plus, swapping the module is extremely simple, and would take less time than trying to finagle out a button.

my guess is that a new module wouldn't be close to 100$, but i think the more important thing is to avoid the issue all over again in the future (which I'm guessing a new module would be susceptible to)

Fair enough. By the way, I have a 2007 C2S, and my buttons look fine. Was there a manufacturing defect in certain model years?

Sometime in 2007 they moved to a non sticky coating I am pretty sure. I bought a whole HVAC from a cayman and the ***** are black plastic, non rubberized. Nothing to peel. Just swapped them out.

The bottons went from gaudy, obvious, and ugly-- to unnoticeable. I'm am so glad I did this.

With the other solutions -- which I was really considering-- my car would've been in pieces while the items shipped and were restored-- this allowed me to do it quickly.

Here is a better picture of the buttons from my seat.

Since my last picture didn't do it justice-- here is a more realistic picture of what it looks like in the car.

Amazing how happy a little button makes me.
