Nice car. What do you think about the Fabspeed intake?

U mean the color of the stone guards? What color would you do? I'm kind of neutral on the intake - i initially got it for sound improvement , sounds "different for sure" , not sure about better but definitely different - then just did gundo and feel "neutral" about that too....reality is , I just don't love the sound of that exhaust and not willing to spend the $ to change it at this point ...I think I picked up some extra torque/hp with both the Intake and softronic ecu upgrade

Ooh, Vern, way to burst the OP's bubble.

But, now that you've put it out there, I agree.

The rest of the car looks so good, those yellowed guards really stand out. It reminds me that I need to replace mine, too.

Nice.... but...

I am the downer on this forum.... I don't like shiny... it looks good for like ten minutes. I like black, dark, very semi-gloss or matte. Zaino tire stuff is about just right... black and lasts. I really liked ArmorAll matte but it didn't sell so they dropped it.

Shiny to me is just like silicone falsies..... grab your attention but not fun to grab.

Peace

Thanks for bring that to my attention , they are kind of a cream color - I think it looks worse in pictures - anyone ever take these off? Concerns? Easiest way? Maybe I'll try clear ones ....

I love Meg's Mirror Glaze. Their spray detailer is great too. For black trim I use 2 different products. Gummi Phlege for rubber trim and seals, as it's a true dressing not just a surface application, and good for a year. First I use Griot's Rubber Prep. For plastic trim like the wiper cowl and the triangular pieces where the side mirrors attach, the best I've found is Griot's Black Shine Trim Restorer (in the plastic bottle, not the tire stuff in the spray can. I don't put anything on my tires).

I think the point the guys were making is that these were originally clear and they have yellowed, which becomes apparent against the white paint of the car. They can be removed with careful application of a heatgun and careful pulling at an angle- i think there are several posts on here that describe the procedure. Some have had problems with pulling off the clearcoat underneath so I'd proceed with caution as a DIY.
An alternative to replacement is covering them with a magnetic guard - some like the look of black ones.

Yes that is what I was getting at

Lots of threads on removal and/or options

Cheers
