Those look like Victor Zehn wheels. I think they look excellent as they are. Black wheels seem like an attempt to hide the look of the wheel. A black wheel with a black tire in a black wheel well gets lost.

In my opinion, a titanium finish would look much better than black.

I'm a big fan of black wheels, but agree with Dennis, on your car, I think they look great as is.

Thanks guys! Now that I know what kind of wheels I have, I was able to see them on a similar car and I think you are both right.

A higher resolution photo would have been easier to work with, I had trouble especially with the back wheel since the pixelation around the wheels of the original image is pretty blocky so I don't think this is great work... but I did it in two difference shades for you since I thought the black I original did just lost the wheels almost completely. Maybe someone else can do better.

BTW, I'm not a big fan unless you get the option where they go with a silvered lip so you get some wheel/tire contrast. Personally I think your current wheel look great! Dennis is right that if anything I'd get titanium or platinum, something with at least some contrast.

that would really remind me of my old forgiato's wheels that are still sitting in the basement!

Nice work! The top one is a bit more attractive to me. It's almost a grey. Now I'm wondering if even a flat bronze might look good. (pic attached for color reference)
The black does seem to "get lost" on my car.

Black looks good on that car. And that paint! Very nice.

Just noticed the blue inside the wheels as well. Nice touch.

I think a matte bronze or a gloss bronze would look good on your car.

Love the car as is. However, have you thought about a non-permanent treatment just to "try it on for size"...say, plasti-dip...that can be pealed off? If you love it, then you could then have the wheels powder coated. If not simply peal it off. I plasti-dipped my lobster claws hyper black for the winter just for something different. Turned out OK. Its not hard. If I can do it anybody can do it.

I'm in this camp also... Black rims get lost on darker cars. Titanium or gunmetal would look great IMO.

Yea for brake dust / Nay for looks. But the couple blue on black in the thread look good. Don't care for the charcoal-ish though.

I agree with StrumeRune, if you do go with a darker wheel, a contrasting chrome/silver lip on the wheel would be nice...T
