Default PCM - radio off

Is it possible to have functions of the PCM on with the radio off? When I push any of the PCM function buttons, the radio comes on. When I turn off the radio, everything turns off.

let the PCM turn on and the MUTE the radio(audio source), or worse case, switch to an audio source that has nothing - such as empty DVD/CD player or aux-in or some such thing.

If you have a multifunction steering wheel it's easy. Press down to mute the sound with the left selector wheel. Unfortunately, when Porsche designs a car, they expect you to have certain options for things to integrate well and function. When you have fewer options then you lose a lot of integrated functions.

For example, these cars have infamously poor clocks. They keep terrible time. The last good clock Porsche put in a car was in the 1980s, and it was made by VDO. However, if you order your 997 with integral navigation the GPS satellite's clock signal is parsed from the GPS signal and used to keep the clock accurate. Otherwise, good luck with your clock.
